Distresses

Adding distress to a door gives it a gently used look.  When combined with our hand rubbed oil finish and a patina, a fabulous old world warmth is produced resulting in a fine furniture finish that almost glows.  The photo to the right shows eased edges and surface marks along with patina.

Because all our doors are custom made at the time of order the amount and type of distress applied can vary depending on your personal style.

A wood carving can enhance any door.

Speak EZs

A Speak EZ is an opening in the door itself.

Speak EZs can be made up of

• a door opening only (no glass, just a small functioning door in the door),
• a window only (does not open, a glass "peep" window in the door),
• or a combination of the two (a small functioning door with a window). 

The Speak EZ can be square, rectangular or radius topped.

A Speak EZ can be put into almost any style of door and can be further enhanced by adding a metal grill over the outside face if desired.

Grills

Metal grills can be applied over a Speak EZ to enhance the style of the door or can be added to the front of a door, along with molding to give the appearance of a Speak EZ.

The grills we use at Crafted Northwest Doors are hand forged rod iron making each one a unique piece.

The grills can be made into a variety of different shapes and sizes to match the Speak EZ.

Grills look great on Entry Systems and Wine Rooms!

Slide Bolts

Slide Bolts can be used on Speak EZ doors, Dutch doors, Double doors or any door where a decorative throw latch is desired.  Slide bolts come in a standard style (black) or in an upgrade hand forged curled handle (black, rust or natural) and are available in a variety of lengths.

Clavos'

A Clavos is a metal nail or strap that can be used on almost any part of a door for decorative purposes. 

The Clavos' we use at Crafted Northwest Doors are hand forged from metal to create an authentic old world look that enhances the appearance of the door. 

Clavos' come in many different shapes, sizes and colors and can be added to any size or style door.

Glass Options

Glass can be added to doors, sidelites and speak EZ's to increase the amount of light in a room, allow for the enjoyment of a view or for safety's sake to allow one to see who is at the door prior to opening it.
