Finishing

Crafted Northwest Doors offers a hand rubbed oil finish on it's products.  We strive to bring out the inner beauty of the wood itself by applying multiple layers of quality oil finish, hand rubbed and sanded between each layer.  Rubbing between layers polishes the finish at each layer resulting in a final product with depth and beauty that you can virtually "look into". 

Mountain Series

We offer a variety of stain colors;  Mountain Brown, Light Mountain Black, Mountain Black, Mountain Red, Mountain Chestnut and Black Cherry. 

Antiquing

An Antiqued look can be applied by adding a patina to the corners of the door's panels.  The end result is doors that "pop" out at you.

Distress

Crafted Northwest Doors offers a variety of distresses ranging from a lite gently used look distress through a heavily distressed rustic look.  Combined, our distress and finish treatments turn a great door into a fabulous door!

Pre-Hang

Pre-Hang includes mortising the door and jamb for hinges, boring for the handle set and beveling the out swing door edge to insure proper operation.  When a door arrives at your site with our factory pre-hang it is ready to be hung in the frame by your finish carpenter.  See below for guidelines on hanging a door in a frame.

Hanging a Door

The final step to having great looking doors is to insure that they are properly installed, or hung, in their door frame.  We have provided suggested guidelines for hanging our solid wood doors.  Go to How to Hang a Door to learn more about hanging a door.
